Assessment Conduct and Policy
Assessment conduct and policy is vital for students because they establish a fair and consistent system for evaluating their performance.
A. Instructions For The Conduct Of Assessment
Before The Start Of The Assessment

Students to be seated 15 minutes before the start of the assessment. All bags will be placed in the front of the class.

Students will not be given any extra time if they are late for the paper.
During The Assessment

Students will be provided with standard writing paper. There will be no additional materials required unless stated by the subject.

Students will be required to bring their own stationery into the assessment venues (writing materials, calculators, dictionaries, rulers and mathematical sets).

Unauthorized materials (bags, books, notes, papers, mobile phones, smart watches, fitness trackers, smart glasses) must be placed in the bags before the start of the assessment. Any unauthorised materials found in their possession during the assessment, will be considered a dishonest act.

Students are required to write their full name, register number and class on every page of the answer script.

Once the assessment has started, students will be required to get permission from the invigilator should they require anything from their bags.
Before The End Of The Assessment

Students will not be allowed to leave the assessment venue before the end of the assessment unless permitted by the invigilator.

All unused writing paper must be returned to the invigilator, all used papers must be crushed and thrown into the bin before leaving the assessment venue.

Students caught for displaying any dishonest acts (e.g., cheating, unauthorized use of electronic devices, collaboration with others, using cheating sheets and communication) will be given zero mark for the assessment. Parents will be informed, and students will be subjected to disciplinary actions by the school.
B. In The Event Of Major Train Service Disruptions

In the event of any major train service disruptions, students do not need to obtain any documentation form the train operators.

Students who arrive in school before the end of the assessment, will be given the full duration of the paper.

Students who arrive in school after the assessment has ended or unable to arrive in school at all, should contact the school immediately.
C. In The Event Of Other Unexpected Situations

For any other unexpected situations where students are not able to arrive in school on time for the assessment (e.g., caught in a massive jam or flood), they should contact the school immediately.
D. Absence From Assessment

Students will not be allowed to re-sit for any school-based assessment (WA/Prelim Exam/EOY Exam) when they are absent from school.

Students are expected to submit a medical certificate when they are absent.

Failing which, students will be accorded a zero mark for the assessment missed.

Only medical certificates issued by registered medical practitioners will be accepted and must be submitted to the Form Teacher as soon as the student return to school.

Letters from parents/guardians and traditional medicine practitioners will not be accepted.
